Travel + Leisure magazine recently conducted its first airport survey which has revealed that the readers of this renowned travel magazine consider the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport as the best among all other airports across the United States. The travel magazine asked its readers to rate 22 of America's major airports with respect to flight delays; design; amenities; food and drink; check-in and security; service; and transportation and location.

The Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport was described in the article by Travel + Leisure magazine as possibly the cheeriest and most welcoming airport in the nation. The airport ranked first for its easy check-in and security process, and was in second position for design and cleanliness, baggage handling, staff communication and airport location.

The only low rating that the airport received was for its Wi-Fi offerings. Taking heed of the low Wi-Fi rating, for which the airport was ranked 11th, the Metropolitan Airports Commission stated that it's in the process of selecting a new public Internet service provider and is requiring that the vendor provide a free option for public Wi-Fi. A free Wi-Fi option is expected to be available before the end of the year which will indeed be a boon for those on their travel to and fro Minneapolis.
